50K & 25K · September 19, 2026
Every dollar you spend to race goes directly to the dedicated volunteers who keep our outdoor community safe.
The idea for this race stemmed from discussions about organizing a race in our area and having it be a fundraiser. All proceeds go directly to Penticton Search and Rescue, a dedicated group of volunteers that are vital to our outdoor community.
This race takes place in the Three Blind Mice trail network, just outside of Penticton — a special place for many who play in the outdoors. The trails are amazing thanks to PACA and their stewardship. It's all single track: some quite technical, some beautifully flowy.
Your race organizers are five friends with loads of trail running experience. Our goals are to show off the trails of the Mice and to ensure that each runner has a genuinely fun and rewarding experience.
Registration closes September 17, 2026.
Both races start and finish at the parking lot on Poplar Grove Road. After a quick 500m on the KVR, runners head up Riddle Road to the Mice. All runners complete the first loop via Southern Dancer, Bronco, Rainbow, Neverland, and Yellow Brick Road. 50K runners then head back out into the Mice for a second, epic loop.
Loop 1: Southern Dancer · Bronco · Rainbow · Neverland · Yellow Brick Road
Loop 2 (50K): Marmot · Tripod · Sidewinder · Rusty Muffler · Corral · Fred · Slabs
Make sure you're carrying enough nutrition and fluids to reach this station — it's your first stop. 50K runners will pass through here on their second loop as well.
The turnaround point for 50K runners before they head back into the Mice for their second loop. Drop bags will be transported here for 50K runners.
This is a cupless race. Please carry your own reusable cup.
Parking is limited near the start/finish — approximately 30 spots total, some reserved for race organizers. Please carpool or arrange a drop-off. A more detailed parking plan will be shared closer to race day.
50K runners may bring one small drop bag, which will be transported to the Pearly Gates aid station. All runners can also leave a bag at the Poplar Grove parking lot — consider warm clothing for after the race.
We're planning a post-race BBQ starting at noon. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available. Guests of runners are welcome — we just ask that they make a donation to Penticton SAR.
This race runs on community spirit. Volunteer shifts range from a couple of hours in the morning to a full day at an aid station. We'd love your help.
Runners may switch distances up to the day before the race. Moving from 25K to 50K requires payment of the difference. No partial refunds for moving from 50K to 25K.
No refunds will be issued. The good news: your registration fees went to a good cause — Penticton Search and Rescue.
If we need to cancel due to weather or other circumstances, registered participants will receive a 50% credit toward a future race. We hope to make this an annual event.
All net proceeds benefit Penticton Search & Rescue
